facts and fiction

Things I discovered, thought about, dreamed or just realized while I was in Ireland:

  1. I thrive on my weblog. This thought goes straight to #1 since I *so* missed blogging…
  2. I dream of becoming a chef.
  3. The Natural Gourmet cooking school is too fucking expensive and I’ll never be able to afford it. Fuck.
  4. I am this close to going vegan. Just give me time…
  5. I spend loads of money on books. And when I say loads, I mean loads.
  6. I’ve been traveling lots lately: since August I’ve been to Frankfurt, London (3 times), Lyon (twice) and now Ireland. Stockholm coming right up!
  7. Eating organic fruits and veggies and whole foods in general makes me happy. Seriously!
  8. After all, I am a happy, relaxed, easy-going, optimistic, fun-loving person.
  9. I am not afraid anymore, of many things.
  10. Unfortunately, I snore a bit.
  11. I love the smell of the sea.
  12. I missed the gym so much while I was away!! Gotta catch up, but not tonight, I’m too damn tired… (woke up at 4am to catch an early flight)
  13. I am overly critical and can’t help it.
  14. If I had to define myself and adhere to a subculture, I’d choose punk, punk and punk a million times!
  15. My life isn’t so bad at all.
  16. I missed my cat tremendously while I was away!! Meow!! Extra cuddles tonight. ^_^
  17. I want to dye my hair red.
  18. I’d love to work abroad, but I don’t know where or how. Any offers??
  19. Apparently, I don’t look my age. People keep telling me so I’m starting to believe it.
  20. Apparently, I don’t look Italian enough to prevent my fellow citizens from gossiping about me to my face and in my own language. Hello weirdos, I am Italian too! -_-
  21. I like talking to strangers, I find it quite refreshing.

maledetta primavera

E così, è arrivata anche la primavera, portandosi via l’inverno, i racconti davanti al caminetto, le cioccolate calde, i lumini alla finestra, le camminate sotto la neve, i torrenti ghiacciati, il vin brûlé, le lunghe notti, le campagne cristallizzate dalla brina, i maglioni a collo alto, gli alberi spogli.

E’ arrivata in fretta, questa primavera. Spero che il tempo da qui a giugno non mi scivoli via tra le dita come hanno fatto i mesi invernali. Soprattutto, spero che non sia solo un prologo d’estate come l’inverno è stato un’appendice dell’autunno.

C’è chi dice che quando si chiude una porta, si apre un portone. Io invece chiudo baracca e burattini, e chi s’è visto s’è visto.
